Teenage Addiction Recovery

At Shamar Clinic we feel it is important to distinguish between the needs of the adult and that of the Teenager. Teenage Addiction Recovery uses the same approach and framework as Adult Addiction Recovery but with content and process that is more suited for the teenager. Shamar Clinic has an innovative, ground-breaking strategy addressing issues of substance dependence, self-harm, compulsive disorders, and pornography addiction in brand new ways.

No one decides to become an addict. There are normally very complex and deep personal reasons for falling prey to such a debilitating disorder. At Shamar Clinic our philosophy is different. We see addiction as a symptom of a larger illness, as an attempt to self-medicate and keep that illness at bay.

We believe that treating an addiction is only part of the healing process. At our treatment centre, we use our own unique program in association with Project Exodus and practice in a safe and warm environment of mutual understanding. We aim to give you control of your life back, help you reconcile with your past and empower you to embrace the future.

Age Groups:

12 – 17 years

Cost:

R450 per Teen per session (Sessions are weekly for 75 minutes)
A minimum of 6 Teens is required to run the programme.
